In a real-life Madagascar, fifteen mollycoddled Tasmanian devils are hauled from the safety and protection of their Australian animal sanctuaries and cast away like convicts on a remote island to fend for themselves. Little do the lively creatures realize, the Tasmanian devil has fallen prey to a highly contagious cancer that has wiped out 80% of the population. The audacious plan to save them from extinction is to create an “insurance” population on an island off the coast of Tasmania. It’s a risky experiment, as the hand-reared individuals have never hunted for themselves, found shelter or faced a predator in their pampered little lives. Expect mayhem and high jinks as we follow the fortunes of the squad of little devils on this make-or-break trial to save their species – and themselves – on DEVIL ISLAND.
