At 38 years old Julie Carles is only the 27th woman in the word to naturally conceive a set of identical, monochorionic quadruplets. The odds on all four quads surviving is less than 60% – a statistic that would convince most women to opt for a selective reduction. Against expert medical opinion, she decides to continue with her pregnancy, but not without risk to both herself and the babies.
